Our daughter is enthralled with this series. We read it together and can't wait for the upcoming release!
This book seemed to move along more slowly than they first two. I appreciate the author's attempt to develop the character of the key protagonist; however, the pace was just too slow. I skipped much of the dialogue to get back to the primary theme.
The story moves quickly, while engaging your interest, much like a powerful grimmorie, stealing your attention, and soundly capturing ones thoughts. Having devoured the first three submissions, I now feel the need to drag the next baby from this author, kicking and screaming. Well done J. A. White. Keep us further engaged please.
I absolutely loved this book. The characters were fresh and so was the plot. It was creepy, nerve wrecking, sweet, sad and thrilling in all the right places. I loved the chemistry between the characters and the notes from our own history that were woven through out. I plan on re reading this and I can't wait to share it with my daughter when she is a little older and doesn't scare as easy.
