When I read Misled, the first book in this series my comment was "This book has been described as brutal, trashy, crude, violent, realistic and disturbing and I am happy to report that is indeed all of the above!"
SO...now on to the second book (I skipped the 1.5 wedding/bachelor party book and honestly you can read this one without it)...and I can happily report that nothing much has changed in Kathryn Kelly's world of bikers...they are still ultra-violent, crude, disgusting pigs with a few hidden gems in there. This book had my emotions all over the place... without spoilers...I was laughing, cringing, crying, outraged, sickened, turned-on, shaking my head and at times felt like I was on a caffeine induced rush cum panic attack...LOL...seriously!
Johnnie and Kendall make up the dominant duo in this book, but we also have so many side stories and couples that things get really crazy at times...and of course Johnny's obsession and feelings for his cousin's wife Megs is still at the forefront, which makes for some serious complications in more than a few people's lives. In flashbacks we get a lot of history and a huge twist is revealed regarding the cousins.
I was not a fan of Kendall at all in this book...I felt pangs of sorrow for her with what she endured at the hands of the vicious EX Spool...and was hurt for her little sister...but she was not as strong as I think a lawyer (and EX girlfriend of an MC member) should be and acted more like a frightened child most of the time. This book is not your sweet and HEA type of biker romance at all...it is hard and nasty and rough...nothing and nobody is safe or spared (OMG...not even a baby in diapers)...and you need to understand what you are getting when you read this series.
There are some loose ends at the end of this book and some big threats to the club still out there which I am sure will be addressed in the next book.

Ok Now I'm Not Gonna Lie.. the first half of this Book really & I mean really Pis#ed me Off .. Kendall for all her Smarts... yup she annoyed the snot out of me....can understand the reasoning behind the dumbness... for whom Spoon had, but the trusting in spoon when she had pretty much growen up around people like spoon ... shorely she should of known Not To trust him & the people involved ..Logan one Evil MF... Now I Lov Jonnie but his Blinding Trust or as the Author described it Hero Worship all most to the end was WOW...
The second half of this Book was Awesome...in retrospect ... if the author can provoke that kind of emotion from you with thinking on the first half of the book then she's done her job in great writing to provoke that much emotion from you..... she always writes great Hot Scenes... edge of ya seats action.... I shed a we Tear for Megs Mum... Dainh ... she has lost so much has been through just as much... totally understand the sT Outlaw treats her..... if he didn't do it that way he knows she'd be a Blithering idiot... & he knows Meg still needs her mum....I really thought Dainh was going to get her HEA... still hope she does... lots of revelations in this Book, lots of WT#s, OMGs & Oh No He Didn't, & more OM#G..... with ya Hart racing with that thought ... So that's why I still gave the book 5 stars cause even tho I was annoyed the Author did a great job... & I'm more than want the next book & the next... So if ya Lov the Series as I do don't give up on the first half of the book ... & think about the emotion the Author is bringing out of you... & she's doing her job at great writing... One Click People...... -)
